Damjan rides headfirst and on his back, looking through a mirror and out a small window to see the track. This yields lower wind resistance than the standard bubble canopy, but obviously requires additional skill for balancing upside-down. Whittingham rode 56.216 miles in the hour for a new world record; Damjan became overheated and stopped before the hour was up.
