I took the Mango velomobile out for a charity ride for Multiple Sclerosis Australia - the Brissie to the Bay ride. There were a few rides on offer (10, 25, 50 & 100km). I chose the 100km ride and completed it in 3:16 roughly. We had to stop for all traffic lights once past the first few sections but it was a charity ride, not a race. Many of the traffic lights were at the bottom of hills! Ouch. My average speed was 32km/h so that meant about 7 minutes waiting at the lights... I stopped for 30 minutes to give medical assistance to a downed rider until the ambulance arrived.
